Seeing the latest Berserk chapter (which is the last Kentaro Miura ever wrote) was a very emotional experience, and a very fitting send off of Miura's short time in this world. The last panel he ever made is right here and it represents everything that makes Berserk such a beautiful and powerful piece of literature.

Hearing the tragic passing of Kentaro Miura shook me up just as much as it did everyone else in the manga reading and anime watching world. Words can't express how saddened and heartbroken I am over one of my biggest creative influences, and someone who is the reason depression has never gotten the best of me. Even though he died on May 6th, it didn't surface until just now, and hearing about it was like losing a friend.
Berserk to me is more than just a manga. It helped me though several hardships in life. Just when I had lost hope all in life, I always remember that if Guts can move on, so can I. It's a series that reminds us how fragile u
